Welcome to our Ithaca launch location of Southern Tier Balloon Tours. Our Ithaca flights offer a spectacular view of Cayuga Lake, Ithaca College, and Cornell University in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Hot air balloon rides in the Finger Lakes region of Ithaca, NY depart every morning just after sunrise, and every evening a couple hours prior to sunset; twice a day - weather permitting.

Flights from Ithaca, NY are like no other with the view of the 38.1 mile long, 2 mile wide Cayuga Lake which starts just north of Ithaca. Flights meet at Stewart Park, Cass Park or Tutelo Park depending on the wind direction for that day. Directions are also provided to each park to ensure that meeting us for your flight is easy and effortless.

Each flight is 45 - 70 minutes in the air, but make sure to plan for 2.5 - 3 hours for the whole experience (meet, flight, drive back, and post flight toast).

Stewart Park, Cass Park, and Tutelo Park all offer plenty of parking for everybody in your party, including family and friends that would like to tag along or just watch us take off. After meeting at any one of the three parks (see map just below), we will go through a pre-flight briefing on what to expect during the hot air balloon ride and then drive to our launch location (we provide all transportation) which varies daily depending on the current weather forecast.

Hot air balloons cannot steer, so we move with the wind (yes, this is safe! It is actually the first form of flight, and we have years of experience). We will pick an optimal launch site to make sure your balloon flight is nothing less than spectacular.
