One of our favorite annual events is the Adirondack Balloon Festival which takes place just south of Lake George and the Adirondacks in Queensbury, NY. The Adirondack Balloon Festival begins the second to last weekend in September starting off Thursday at Crandall Park then moving to Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport from Friday – Sunday morning, then moving back to Crandall Park for the Sunday evening launch. Southern Tier Balloon Tours offers passengers flights throughout the Adirondack Balloon Festival. Come out and enjoy one of the Northeast premier fall events with Southern Tier Balloon Tours!
The beauty of the Adirondacks never disappoints from the Hot air balloon. When lifting off from the Adirondack Balloon Festival you will get an instant rush of beauty as you notice Lake George and the start of the Adirondack Mountains to the north, if we’re lucky we might even get glance at New York highest mountain, Mt Marcy deep in the center of Adirondack State Park. As our flight path continues the Green mountains of Vermont and the upstate New York Valley will all comes into view. All flights from the Adirondack Balloon Festival last anywhere from 40 minutes to 70 minutes in the air with the whole experience lasting around 3 hours and will end with a traditional champagne toast to commemorate our flight.
Safety is always a priority at Southern Tier Balloon Tours and we take it very seriously, we have thousands of hours of flight experience and have best ground crew available to chase us during our flights.
